Musical Performances at The Oscars
Hello Loves,
Did you guys watch the Oscars on Sunday night, February 24, 2013? I watched it and thought it was awesome! I had never heard of Seth MacFarlane before, until he mentioned that he directed, TED, which I haven't seen yet, but I am thinking about renting it!
My favorite part of the programming was the musical performances. Jennifer Hudson killed it singing, "You're Gonna Love Me," from the award-winning musical, Dreamgirls. I also loved the Les Miserables cast member chorus performance of, "One Day." Also, who wasn't moved by Barbra Streisand's performance of, "The Way We Were?" And let's not forget Adele's performance of, "Skyfall," which won an Academy Award.
The Oscars is such an inspirational program that showcases the hard work of individuals in the film industry. A lot of the actors, directors, editors, and producers that won awards this year didn't just get the award, because they wished it to happen. They pursued their passion and achieved their goals through hard work, pushing boundaries, and never giving up.
I want to encourage you to not give up on your dreams. Go after them with everything you've got and maybe one day you'll be at the Oscars receiving an Academy Award too!
